How to make a restaurant reservation
Please book below using our secure booking system, if there is a line through the day you are looking at it either means we are closed or can not fit tables for the size you require. Alternatively email info@checkerswales.co.uk or call 01686 639548. Unfortunately we cannot always answer the phone during service times or Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays when we are closed. Credit card details are required for all bookings. They are securely kept with a third-party site called Stripe and will only be used for cancellation penalties.

Restaurant arrival
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking to enjoy an aperitif and look over menus.

Dietary restrictions and requirements
We can accommodate some food intolerances and allergies providing that we have 72 hours’ notice and that these are mentioned when you make your reservation. Due to the nature of the ingredients we use at The Checkers we are unable to cater for dairy free, vegan, Halal or Kosher diets.

Large tables and parties
For parties of 6 or larger please contact us direct to discuss your booking info@checkerswales.co.uk
For tables of 6 and above we require a 50% non refundable deposit upon booking.

Exclusive use
Please email info@checkerswales.co.uk to discuss exclusive use.

Children
Whilst we do not offer a specific children’s menu, we are happy to discuss your requirements for children aged 12 and under provided that we have 72 hours’ notice. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

How to make a room reservation
Please email info@checkerswales.co.uk for more information and to make a room booking.
Our rates are for dinner, bed and breakfast for 2 people with our evening tasting menu. If you would like to stay for additional nights we can offer these on a bed and breakfast rate. If you would like to dine for more than one night we will prepare a new tasting menu especially for you.

Room arrival and departure
We welcome guests to check in from 3pm and kindly ask that guests depart by 11am.

Breakfast
Breakfast for guests will be served from 8.30am to 9.30am.

Dogs
Due to the layout of the building we cannot accommodate dogs into the restaurant or bedrooms, except guide dogs.

Cancellation policy

How to cancel a reservation
To cancel a restaurant reservation you must cancel through ResDiary. Any restaurant reservations cancelled via email will not be accepted.

To cancel a room reservation, for the avoidance of doubt we can only accept cancellations via email on info@checkerswales.co.uk

Restaurant cancellation policy
We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any restaurant bookings that are cancelled or numbers reduced within 72 hours of your reservation. Should you not be able to give the required notice to cancel or change your booking, or if you do not show up, each person will incur a charge of £37.50 (for lunch), £55.00 (for the lunch tasting menu), or £75.00 (for dinner). If the booking is a special event or pre-booked menu, the cancellation fee will be the full cost of the agreed menu.

Room cancellation policy
We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for any room bookings that are cancelled or numbers reduced within 5 days of your reservation. Should you not be able to give the required notice to cancel or change your booking, or if you do not show up, the full room rate per night will be charged, including any supplements selected by you.

Please note that any bedroom cancellations will automatically result in the cancellation of the associated dinner reservation.
